Make your very own Book Art

I'm talking to all of you out there that have been looking at Book Art and wanting to try it, but haven't yet started your project.

I have made a simple, beginners pattern that you can download for free below. The pattern will also be accompanied by a full beginners tutorial.

The pattern provides you with measurements that you will make onto a hardback books pages that you wish to up-cycle. A pattern such as this which is made using the Measure, Mark and Fold Method (MMF) lists 2 measurements that need to be marked on each page, then you simply fold the corners of the pages to meet the measurements.

Many find that once they start Book Folding they are unable to stop (which is exactly what happened to me at Cornerhouse 115) and find it therapeutic and relaxing and also scratches that crafty itch we seem to suffer with.

The step by step instructions are extremely easy to follow, even if I do say so myself, and we offer assistance and encouragement via our Facebook page (please find link below).

The pattern is to create a Simple Heart Book Art, once you have practiced with this there are all sort of patterns available, plus I am able to make custom Patterns if you would like one that you cannot see on my Etsy Shop, which is available by this website and I have also included a link below.

Here is our Simple Heart Book Art. We have folded it countless times and decorated it in various colours and embellishments for different customer requirements. Fancy trying to make your very own paper flowers to decorate it with? Have a look at our 'Ava Flower Tutorial' available on the blog section on this site.
